The airstrikes hit central neighbourhoods of the city, as well as the city’s covid hospital and a concrete factory.
Turkish forces also continued to target other areas in north and northeast Syria, including Ayn Issa (Eyn Îsa), Al-Malikiyah (Derik/Dêrika) and the M4 highway.
A grain silo in the town of Amuda, west of the city of Qamushli in northeast Syria, was also the target of Turkish attacks on Friday evening.

Numerous areas have been affected by the bombing in Turkey’s ongoing military campaign against Kurdish-held north and northeast Syria. The airstrikes have inflicted significant damage on the targeted areas, causing mass displacement of civilians.
Turkish jets have intensively targeted areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). On Friday, the airstrikes completely destroyed all the power stations and most of the region’s oil production facilities, leaving some two million people without electricity and water.
According to the local Hawar News Agency (ANHA), at least 12 people were killed and 12 others wounded in the attacks.
