Commander-in-Chief of the Iraq Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Rasoul said that they do not approve of Iranian and Turkish attacks against their territories, and confirmed that the Interior Ministry of Iraq has begun to take precautions on the borders against the attacks.

Commander-in-Chief of the Iraq Armed Forces spokesman Major General Yahya Rasoul said that they have not approved Iranian and Turkish military operations against Iraq.

Yahya Rasoul spoke to Roj News Agency about the attacks and measurements taken to protect Iraqi territories.

Rasoul confirmed that the Interior Ministry of Iraq has already began to take some precautions against attacks.

Last week, a high-level security delegation headed by Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari visited the capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Erbil on 12 December to discuss security measurements on the Turkish and Iranian border.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani said that they aim to redeploy the Interior Ministry’s Border Guard units along the two countries borders in co-operation with the Peshmerga Ministry in the Kurdistan Region, reported National News.

On the other side, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also said that Turkey will also close its southern border with Syria and Iraq by building a security strip stretching right from Hatay to Hakkari.
