The Turkish regime’s political extermination campaign against the Kuridsh population continues unabated.
In the district of Gever (Yüksekova) in the province of Hakkari, at least eleven people were taken into custody during house raids carried out on Sunday morning.
While the reason for the detentions was not disclosed, minors are said to be among those detained. It is feared that the number of detentions may rise.
A confidentiality order was placed on the files of the detainees and their access to lawyers was restricted for 24 hours.
Measures such as confidentiality or bans on lawyers are a common delaying tactic used by Turkish authorities to fabricate suspicions. The method is used as standard for cases involving “terrorism”.
