11th Hamburg Kurdish Film Festival opens online on 19 December
The 11th Hamburg Kurdish Film Festival will be held online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 11th Hamburg Kurdish film festival will be held on Vimeo this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The festival will be held from 19 to 23 December.
The film opening the festival on 19 December at 7 pm will be "Diyalog" (Dialog= directed by Selim Yıldız.
On the second day of the festival, a 15-minute animated film (Rojava) about the Rojava resistance will be screened, along with the documentary films "Husbe Hush" directed by Nursel Doğan and "The Flowers of Rojava" directed by Selene Verrl and Magali Magnin.
On the third day of the festival, Bêdengiya Xewneki film directed by Rohat Merwan and documentary films "Altındağ-Hope Houses" directed by Bayram Balcı will be shown.
On the fourth day, the movie "We Want Fraternity" directed by Özcan Vardar and "Mamoste" directed by Salih Çelik and Kemal Hazanay will be screened.
The last day will present five films: Heverk (The Circle), by Ruken Tekes, Yagmur Olup Sehre Dusuyorum by Kasim Ordek, The Wall by Ferideh Ghaderi, Havina Qulingan (The summer of swans) by Maryam Samadi and Veger (Return) by Selman Deniz.
