Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria condemns the Syrian government’s accusations against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces and calls for national dialogue as the path to a united Syria.

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has strongly rejectedthe Syrian government’s accusations that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were responsible for recent attacks in Deir ez-Zor. In a statement issued on Sunday, AANES condemned the Syrian government’s claims as “hostile rhetoric” and a “distortion of facts”, urging the government to abandon “demagogic discourse” and engage in genuine national-level dialogue for Syria.

In a statement

The AANES statement criticised the Syrian regime for employing the language of hate and treason, arguing that the regime’s actions disqualify it from credibly addressing issues of loyalty or separatism. AANES further reminded the public of the massacres committed by the Syrian regime and its continued reliance on destructive methods.

AANES also expressed unwavering support for the SDF and other forces defending Syria against aggression and terrorism. It emphasised the importance of unity among the Syrian people and the rejection of any attempts to sow discord or manipulate the truth.

Foza Yûsif, a member of the Presidential Council of the Kurdish-led Democratic Union Party (PYD), further highlightedthe significance of national dialogue over external negotiations, stating that the solution to Syria’s ongoing conflict lies within Syrian hands, not in international forums like Astana or Geneva. She stressed that the Syrian government should abandon military solutions and focus on political dialogue to serve the unity and integrity of Syria.
