HPG Press Centre provided the following details in a written statement concerning the guerrilla actions and Turkish invasion attacks in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

The statement released on Thursday includes the following:

“On October 25, at 08:00, guerrillas from the YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) hit the Turkish forces in Girê Şehîd Şahan in the Xakûrkê region with heavy weapons.

One Turkish military position was destroyed as a result of this action, carried out as part of the “Time to Defend Free Women and Society Against Femicide” campaign launched by the KJK (Kurdistan Women's Communities).

Werxele Resistance Area in the ​​Avaşîn region:

On October 26, between 13:00 and 15:00, the Turkish army bombed the Werxelê Resistance Area with explosives twice.

Turkish fighter jets bombed the areas of Çemço and Kûnîşka in the Zap region at 02:30 on October 25 and at 16:25 on October 26 respectively.

On October 26, between 20:00 and 20:30, helicopter activity took place over the Qaşura line in the Metîna region. The Koordîne and Kela Qûmriyê areas were bombed by Turkish attack helicopters.

On October 26, between 21:20 and 23:00, Turkish helicopter activity took place over the Tabura Ereba area of ​​the Avaşîn region.”
