SDF destroys 12 ISIS hideouts in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

On Wednesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that they destroyed twelve ISIS hideouts near the Syrian-Iraqi border.

The media center of the SDF stated that they had completed a combing operation in Wadi al-Ajij in the northeastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, in east Syria.

On Sunday, the Syrian Democratic Forces launched a security operation in Wadi al-Ajij in search of ISIS cells, with the support of the Global Coalition.

The center said that the operation took place with the support of the Global Coalition, and lasted for four days. The operation included launching missiles on specific locations used by ISIS cells.

The SDF combed the smuggling routes used by the militant group to move between Syria and Iraq.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces indicated that patrols were conducted near the border with Iraq, and in areas adjacent to the Euphrates River.
