HPG: Three Turkish soldiers killed in Zap
According to the HPG, three Turkish soldiers were killed in guerrilla actions in the southern Kurdish region of Zap. The Turkish invading forces have again used chemical weapons.
On 9 January, the People's Defense Forces (HPG) carried out several actions against the Turkish invasion in the southern Kurdish region of Zap.
According to the HPG press center, three Turkish soldiers were killed. The Turkish army used chemical weapons against guerrilla positions and burned plastic parts and car tires to poison the guerrillas in the tunnel complex.
The statement gave the following details about the actions:
"Zap region as part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign:
At 9.20am and 9.40am, mobile guerrilla units attacked the occupying forces in Çemço in the municipality of Şîladizê near the small town of Amêdî with heavy weapons. Two members of the occupying forces were killed.
The next action in the same region followed at 11am. A soldier was killed by guerrillas.
Attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army using banned and chemical weapons:
At 4.30pm, the Turkish army attacked a guerrilla position in Çemço using chemical weapons. At the same time, toxic smoke was directed into the position, while Çemço and the Girê FM were attacked with howitzers and heavy weapons."
