The court board sentenced Güven to 22 years and 3 months imprisonment and issued an arrest warrant against her.

The hearing of the trial against Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Leyla Güven, who is being tried on 18 separate charges, was held at Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court.

Attorneys Serdar Çelebi and Cemile Turhallı Balsak attended the hearing, while Güven did not attend it.

The court board sentenced Güven to 22 years and 3 months imprisonment and issued an arrest warrant against her.

The prosecutor demanded that Güven be punished for "establishing and managing an illegal organization", "being a member of an illegal organization", "provoking the public to join illegal meetings and demonstrations", "unarmed participation in illegal marches and not disbanding marches despite the warning".
