Semra Güzel: We will win!
HDP member Semra Güzel, who was sent to prison on Saturday night, said in a message that the decision was political and added: “Rest assured, we will win. Hope, women and peoples will win."
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Amed MP Semra Güzel, whose immunity was lifted a while ago, was taken into custody in Istanbul on 2 September and sent to prison on Saturday night, as part of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Güzel sent a message through her lawyer.
She wrote: “Hello everyone. First of all, I must say that I am very good, because I am right. We are right. We all followed the process [leading to my arrest] closely. It was a completely illegal process. The decision was purely political. But rest assured, we will win, hope will win, peace will win, women will win, people will win. With love and respect to all of you.”
