Organisations in Europe make joint statment for Yazidi people
Fifty Kurdish parties and organisations in Europe have reacted against the assaults targeting Yazidi Asayish forces in Sinjar, Iraqi Kurdistan, and called on all Kurds to support the Yazidi people.
In a joint statement the 50 Kurdish groups said the assaults carried out against Sinjar Women’s Protection Units (YJŞ), Sinjar Resistance Units (YBŞ), and the Yazidi Asayish were assaults on the Kurdish people as a whole. “The agreement signed between the Kurdistan Democratic Party [KDP] and the Kazimi government is a new decree and assault against the achievements of Yazidi people”, declared the statement.
“Erdoğan’s new Ottoman policy is implemented in this agreement” and the assaults against Sinjar, northeast Syria and Iraqi Kurdistan were carried out with that aim in mind, argued the statement.
The Kurdish groups also claimed the Turkish state sought to occupy all Kurdistan with the occupation of Sinjar.
Saluting Yazidi history, Kurdish parties and organisations urged all Kurds to support the Yazidi community.
