The 4 April Festival is being held for the 13th time in Maxmur Camp to mark Abdullah Öcalan’s birthday. Today is the final day of the three-day event.

The 13th edition of the annual festival held in Martyr Rüstem Cudi (Maxmur) Refugee Camp on the occasion of the birthday of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan began on Friday.

Organized by the camp's education committee, the festival continued on Saturday with sports matches. In this context, 100 meters, 400 meters, marathon runs and long jump competitions were held.

While all the students of the camp joined the sport competitions in different categories, students and teachers in their national costumes came to the field early in the morning before the different competitions.

The enthusiasm of the students, the dances and the songs sung before the sport events added a different atmosphere to the festival.
