Committee of the Displaced People of Ras al Ayn reported that Turkey's proxies recently bulldozed 12 houses and uprooted about 2000 trees in March.
The Committee of the Displaced People of Resulayn, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria, has listed the Turkish violations committed during March. In the statement read in Washokani Camp on Friday, Jiwan Isso, an official of the Committee, has told that Turkey and the Turkish-backed armed factions, during the current month, bulldozed 12 houses and uprooted about 2000 fruitful trees in the village of Ain al-Hisan, reports North Press.
Reminding that the violations had widened, especially after the Turkish forces and affiliated factions took control over Serêkaniyê, and Tel Abiad (Gre Spi) in northeast Syra, Jiwan Isso from the Committee added: “85% of the indigenous people were displaced and violations in the city and its countryside are still continuing.”
It was announced that the rights and documentations office of the Committee has documented bulldozing of more than 12 houses in Ain al-Hisan village south of Serêkaniyê in addition to uprooting up to 2000 trees on 22nd of March in tandem with Newroz celebrations by al-Hamza Division affiliated to the ‘Syrian National Army.’ Gardens belonging to the destructed houses were also destroyed on the grounds that a military training area was going to be built.
According to the Committee of Displaced People of Serêkaniyê, the names of the citizens whose houses have been bulldozed are: “Elî Mustefa Hemo Kor, Mezlûm Elî Mustefa Hemo Kor, Doxan Elî Mustefa Hemo Kor, Ehmed Mihemed Hemo Kor, Elî Mihemed Hemo Kor, Ebid El-Qadir Mihemed Hemo Kor, Mehmûd Mihemed Hemo Kor, Ednan Mihemed Hemo Kor, Ezîz Mihemed Hemo Kor, Ezîz Mustefa Hemo Kor, Ferhad Ezîz Mustefa Hemo Kor, Elî Ezîz Mustefa Hemo Kor” as reported by Mesopotamia Agency.
Also, the rape of a 12-year-old child girl by members of the 20th Division was documented in al-Aziziya village, and two rape incidents were also documented in the western countryside of Serêkaniyê in addition to killing a 10-year-old child in Tell Arqab village at hands of al-Hamza Division.
“Due to the media blackout and the increased security, we did not manage to obtain accurate information regarding these violations,” Isso noted.
In the statement, the committee called on the UN Fact-Finding Committee to carry out its legal and humanitarian duties and take immediate action to stop the Turkish wheel of destruction in the region.
Again in the statement, the committee has announced: “As the Committee of Displaced People of Sere Kaniye we condemn in the strongest terms the inhumane treatment towards the indigenous people whose houses and villages are destroyed, whose memories taken away.” Further on the statement stressed the need “to curb the Turkish-backed armed factions that operate under the direct instruction of Turkey and work to expel them in a step towards the political solution in Syria.”
